2000 Visits!
So I'm in the process of making Second Hand Sugar High look like eye candy again & I realized I've reached 2000 views. =] I love you all.
Today was the 2nd day of classes. My history teacher is an awkward looking woman with squinty eyes and a bit of an underbite but she seemed nice. First judgments, thats all. She might be cool as sht, who knows. Then English 200, the dreaded class. Everything on the syllabus is about working on this 13 page paper for the whole semester. Shouldn't be too bad tho. This chick in class had the fresh perm.
It made me consider relaxing my hair finally. Its like halfway natural... Idk. I probably won't. But anywho,
Today, I don't know if it was the weather or just me getting used to VCU again but I felt like a rebel all day. lol You ever get that feeling where you wanna flip the bird at everyone. lol even the birds? Idk, irritable I guess.
ahah As im typing this is get a text saying "Sup Bxtch"
Crank caller, eh?
Last time I got a crank call/ text on a bad day I posted their number on Facebook, Twitter, all that & got a bunch of people to blow their phone up. They never effed with me again. =)
Well I'm kinda rambling now. Just waiting for my 7pm Cult Classic/ Midnight Movie film class. =] Nerdy but I'm kinda hype to see what its like. lol

Fancy Thoughts
So, it's been sometime since I've actually posted. I know, I know. Countless apologies to who had to go through withdraws of second hand sugar high cold turkey. I know it's been rough but fret no more! I'm back. It's a new semester and while a lot of my peers took the winter break to recuperate from finals and a semester-worth of classes, I went straight back to my little cubicle at Public Affairs with HRC. Although the job is a bit tiring, I love the people I work with, even though they're both at least 30 years older than me. They're cool though.
So, you can imagine, going straight to a 40 + hour a week job directly after finishing finals and all of that, I'm pooped! It was a relief to come back to classes, believe it or not. I only had one today [same class in the same day lecture + lab]. It was Mass Comm 203 and I'm starting to feel inspired. Maybe its the first day of school feeling but it led me back to my blogspot. It's that time to polish my writing skills.CRUncH tiME BaBy!lol .
So, lately I've been trying to figure out things for my future, all that fun stuff. Potential Minors to add to my degree; Where I want to live; What I even want to do career wise. Since I was a wee lad Hatchie Patch, I've felt like God put me here to help people. Not sure exactly how yet.
& sitting in class, the teacher said something that triggered a thought.
I've always seemed to be a bit different than a lot of the people I hang out with but I realize now what that may be.
Being a Journalism student, our lives and inspiration revolves around all things new....That's why they call it the news. But it kind of opened my eyes.
My boyfriend and I always talk about how we don't really fit in in Richmond. I mean, don't get me wrong, the people here are cool and all. Richmond can definitely party. But we both feel like we have this unused potential and personality that people here don't really understand.
The thought I got in class today kinda of fit like a puzzle.
We're kind of ahead of our time, in a way. It's interesting.
I feel new networking is a necessity.
Of course I say all this is the most modest way possible. I'm not one to forget where I came from or the people who were always there. You know?

Cram Sesh
So, Economics. That foreign class. I was told I was done with math, and then they trapped me with Econ. The midterm is definitely on Thursday and everyone I know who is enrolled in the class has not been in like 675849039485748390 days. So here's the plan. Cram as much info on Economics into my head in the next 2 days and then breathe. Wish me luck.
Oh & Ps> Blame the econ for my slacking posts.

Hiatus
Sorry I've been slacking. I caught a case of the VCU bug. :( Sick sick sickness. Oh yeh, and I'm trying to get all A's. It takes dedication, time, yada yada. Um. So all the hype is about Shyne getting out of prison finally and now rumors of him getting deported back to Belize!? Apparently his pops is the prime minister of Belize. Kinda a big deal, but I'm just saying. Cournee said if they deport him, she's gonna start a 2009 "Watts". Umm
Oh, This weekend was quite the eventful. VCU's Fall Ball was on saturday. Soooo much fun. Until the end where everyone started fighting! Like EVERYWHERE. I tried to get away from the fight because Richmond's police are trigger happy with the mase can. As I'm walking away, i walk into a car crash. A cop heading to the fight scene crashes into a student couple, Hard As Shiza! Pieces of the cop car were on the sidewalk. It was a mess. And now theres word that Union plans to retaliate because one of their student got involved just by being an innocent bystander. Soooo, this coming up0 weekend is looking like a bust. Im sick anyway so prolly just stay in and watch bootleg internet movies and sip on green tea. Eh. Well back to school work. Ill return soon to entertain you all soon! <3
PS: Heres some pics of the fun part of fall ball
the blurr after!

The Perfect Pant
As the sun starts teasing us, giving us random warm days where we aren't overwhelmed by those awful winter jackets, I find that spring fever is coming early. Love, yeah thats there but I'm really talking about the shopping. So so so ready for cuter clothes. Even just wearing what I have now [rather than hiding everything under big gray peacoats]. I have this bad habit of ripping my jeans; Two places in particular: the belt loops and the inner thigh. On a bad Monday, I recently ripped my dark skinny jeans. You know you need those...its a basic. Soooo I've been looking for a replacement and I think I found the perfect jean. Just a bus trip away to Need Supply Co. Thats where I got my Casio calculator watch [neato!]. But along with the trip to Carytown, getting sidetracked by American Apparal and For the love of Chocolate is included. This means money. Money that I dont have. I dont even have milk in the fridge. And my grades are telling me I don't deserve it just yet. Plus I need my permit already. Most embarrassing thing! Point blank, priorities are not in check. its time to get my Shiza together. Next week of hard work will amount to a extra relaxing spring break, right? lets hope so!

Doing the Butt
So wow
so much to tell, but I'll spare you and my fingers. But Im home for the night. Its my moms birthday so she felt it neccessary to drive down and pick me up. Shes so sweet. We had sandwiches and cake and watched movies all day. Love her. Im super tired though. The night before, I spent at Virginia State gettin my boogie on with Imani [her birthday is today too]. It was packed from wall to wall but lucky for us there was Air conditioning! woop. & We were young hollywoods that night. Crazy long line but we were feeling kinda boujee. Walked right to the front & into our party. Petersburg wasnt as bad as its hyped to be. Got to see a buncha people from my past, Los, Marhya, and even Martin from the Germ. Fun! But anywho
This semester has been quite the eventful. Meeting lots of new people and not holding back. Lots of fun. Classes are kinda harder though but I enjoy the challenge.
ahah how cliche. Oh! YTF did we find American Apparel in Richmond along with skateboard shop.Um I know where my monthly allowance is now going! Sht I still have books to buy too.
Oh AND
my hallmates and I are doing the 90 day challenge. Guys vs. Girls. Whoever comes out looking the hottest by end of the sememster has to pay for the others peircings or tatts or some sht. Sounds good to me. I could use a free tat! lol, Anywho, back to watching the Bucket List. It makes me sad that Morgan Freeman and Jack Nickelson are getting old :[
awh man.
Welllp. Later lovers

Or Do I Really Love Your Brain?
So after patiently waiting six years of my young life, the time has finally come. Biggest fcking N.E.R.D fan. Cliche like sht but Im oh so serious when I say it. Bought my tix today for our homecoming. I knew there was a reason I came to VCU! Ahhhhhh! im SOOOOOOOOO syced. I think we got pretty okay seats. Hoping my bestie can pull some strings for backstage again. Plus id get to see my dope ass sister. Omg, if I had backstage passes again and i saw pharrell, [excuse my whackness] but i think i might just do something spastic... not quite sure what that something is...
Wow.
Anywho, Today was the first day of classes. Not so bad but Im extremely exhausted. Stayed on the phone doing the typical pointless arguments with a certain someone which always end up in good mornings...wow how odd are we? Sleep patterns are still terrible and I have major itis. Saw a lot of my boos today tho! & my foursome crew is back in action! :]
Well sorry so short but Im calling it a night. Getting up at the wee hours of the day to [yes] work out. Plus im excited to check my mail box. 2 packages awaiting. Black boots from the Germ perhaps? I think so. Big ups to my bougee Pops & Step Mother. Eh, I love them anyhow. I miss his old broke ways tho. =/
Repressed memories. No good. Time for slumber!

Leaving on the next plane
Heading back to the colorful streets of Richmond today. Im kinda grumpy as my last weekend was madd whack. But mayebe it was good that I stayed in cuz I deff wouldn't have packed until...well, now. Found out that I still have the room to myself! woop!!Trying to convince the mom to take me to get some [good] chicken alfredo before its back to shafer goodness. Ahh this is all kinda bittersweet. Roblehs getting all my anger right now but im excited to paint my nails again & see my 7th floor sistas!
Whoop! Should go shower and get ready to hit the road but conveniently, Vegas Vacation is on tv. Back when I was like 10 i was the BIGGEST TV head. Like I swear I watched anything and EVERYTHING on tv. And this used to be my absolute favorite movie. ahaha. Well, See ya in the city!
